Cedar Grove approved a redesigned plan for the 36-acre Cliffside Drive redevelopment area in 2026. It has 317 apartments, 69 of them affordable, in a first phase, followed by 30 for-sale townhomes in a second phase. The original 2020 approval called for 347 units with 57 affordable. The redeveloper, 36 Cliffside Drive Urban Renewal Owner LLC, took over the township’s financial agreement in 2025.
